A new poll released Friday afternoon by Change Research of the Alabama U.S. Senate special election to be held next Tuesday shows conservative Republican Roy Moore leads liberal Democrat Doug Jones by seven points among likely voters, 51 percent to 44 percent.
Write-in-candidate Lee Busby garnered the support of two percent of poll respondents, while three percent were undecided.
The momentum in the race seems to be moving in Moores direction, according to the poll results.
Among the four percent who say they have decided in the last week, voters are moving to Moore over Jones by an almost three to one margin. Sixty-one percent said they are voting for Moore, while only 22 percent said they are voting for Jones ,and 15 percent are voting for the write-in candidate.
advertisement The poll was based on 2,433 interviews conducted online on Tuesday, December 5, making it the most recent measure of voter attitudes in the hotly contested race, which will see precincts open for voting in less than 84 hours.
A poll released by Change Research ten days ago, on November 28, showed Moore with a five point lead. The two point increase for Moore from 49 percent in the earlier poll to 51 percent in the poll released on Friday is significant, as it puts Moore over the critical 50 percent mark.

YES!!!
Judge Moore Ping!
Want on or off this ping list? Just drop me a FReep mail.
Nice roundup of the accusers and Judge Moore's responses.
Follow Judge Moore on Twitter.
Don’t call it a comeback! Moore was never in trouble.
The Jones campaign took a decidedly nasty turn last week. Probably turned off a number of voters. Quite possibly drawing engagement from people who were going to sit it out.
Once again....winning! Now go out and vote Alabama. The only poll that matters is the one on election day.

Thanks for the update. Always good to get a “boots on the ground” assessment.
Come Tuesday, would hope someone “local” would run a thread with updates on rural vote turnout. Length of voter lines-if any. Things such as that. Makes things more interesting for those of us from afar. GO ALABAMA!
Doug Jones was helped not in the least by the non-binding “resignation” offered by Senator Al Gropen, er, Franken. If the Democrats do not clear out their own scalawags, then why send yet another scalawag to the Senate?
Maybe Doug Jones is a pretty decent guy, we won’t ever see the proposition tested. But he is, after all, a Democrat, and Democrats cannot be counted on to keep their word, no matter what pretty promises they may make.
Still predicting 10% margin of victory, or more...
Good news.
Jones can talk in his ads all he wants to about working with everybody and reaching across the aisle, but anyone with half a brain know he will be Schumers ***** as soon as he steps off the plane in DC.
The Jones side has already been caught creating fake ballots. Moore will need a good lead to beat the fraud.
Ha
I had completely forgotten about the stupid write-in candidate.
this sounds much better...but we need to have poll watchers in all the usual suspect places...and make sure that we get all the Judge Moore votes out.
watch the voting and watch the counting too!
SorozNazi and his evil cabal have been going All Out to defeat Moore, and they won’t stop at anything now..
I suspect you are correct in your assessment.
Winning...and yesterday’s Trump rally was great....
What “nasty turn” did Jones make?
Quite possibly drawing engagement from people who were going to sit it out.
Or trying to keep his supporters angry enough to show up. Jones probably wants to put a hit out on Allred and the lying note taker.
