Steve Bannon will join Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore at a rally on the eve of the special election against Democrat Doug Jones.
The former White House chief strategist made the announcement on the recently launched "Breitbart News Tonight" radio show on SiriusXM on Friday while speaking with Bill Armistead, chairman of Moore's campaign.
Bannon already appeared on stage with Moore on Tuesday at a rally in Fairhope, Ala., and Armistead told him that "we'd love to have you come back for this rally" near Dothan, Ala., on Monday before the special election on Dec. 12.
Bannon replied: "We're going to break some news tonight: I am going to be in Dothan, Ala., honored, always honored to stand on the stage with judge Roy Moore."
Moore, a longtime judge in Alabama, is facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with teenagers -- charges he denies.
Bannon defended Moore at the Fairhope rally, calling the allegations, first published in the Washington Post, a a setup..
Recent polling shows a tight race, with Moore at a slight advantage, according to the RealClearPolitics' average..
Bannon's former boss, President Trump, rallied in Pensacola, Fla., Friday evening, only about 20 miles away from the Alabama border, and spent a part of it promoting Moore's candidacy.
We cannot afford this country, the future of this country cannot afford to lose a seat in the very, very close United States Senate," Trump told the audience, some of whom appeared to be from Alabama.
Looking at the RCP numbers for Moore, I wonder if these would be affected by the trashy racial ad that the Jones campaign put out and then the “fake but accurate” type of story concerning the yearbook signature yesterday?
I wonder if the polls are accurate. There may be people who are reluctant to say they will vote for Moore given that the left has characterized him as a sexual predator.
Going back in the ring once last time for the knock out punch.
Think polls Nov 7, 2016.
The real people of Bama don’t give a damn about what the left thinks of them.
Bannon beat Hillery, in a who spent over a billion dollars in a nationwide race to try to get elected.
A simple Senate seat in a red state will be a piece of cake.
It’s done.
