former Arizona police officer was acquitted Thursday of a murder charge in the 2016 fatal shooting of an unarmed man outside his hotel room as officers were responding to a call that someone there was pointing a gun out a window.
The verdict cleared Philip Mitchell Brailsford, 27, of criminal liability in the 2016 death of Daniel Shaver of Granbury, Texas.

This cop is a ringer for a city officer we met a few weeks back.
We parked across the lines in an empty parking lot at an empty city park, and took the walking path. When we got back to our car he was there in his vehicle and super-amped for a confrontation. We moved slowly and spoke gently; his body and verbal language indicated that all it would take is a tic or a gesture on our part and we’re headed for 9mm heaven.
I figure he’ll be in the news one day.
He should have just moved in and handcuffed him when he was lying face first on the ground with his hands out.
All the other instructions just made the situation more dangerous for everyone.

That makes perfectly good sense.
Yep, soft, feminine face with grotesque tattoos covering his arms. He looks like a lesbian.
He is also not wearing a traditional police uniform. He is wearing a golf shirt and a baseball hat and has a tacticool vest covered in excessive gear.
Murder. Plain and simple.
What difference does it make, the color of the victims of injustice? It should not be allowed to go unanswered.
All the other instructions just made the situation more dangerous for everyone.
Exactly. Instead of escalating the situation, yelling at the guy and giving him confusing and conflicting instructions and asking him to crawl, the cop could have diffused the situation and simply and calmly told him to lay flat on the floor with his arms outstretched in front of him and his legs spread apart and to remain motionless while telling him that he wasnt going to put a bullet through his head but that he was just going to approach him have to frisk him just to make sure he wasnt armed, this could have turned out much different.
Once the girl was cuffed, why make the second arrest so difficult. Simply keep the rifle trained on the suspect, tell him to remain still with his legs crossed and his hands intertwined on his head. Then have the second officer straddle the suspect and cuff his hands. Instead this nut cop wanted him to jump through hoops like a trained animal. Madness.
This guy was not cop material.
"This guy was not cop material.
“Unfortunately, he’s exactly the sort that’s going into law enforcement. “

And how would you know that,it’s a big country?
.
I know it because I’m aware of what’s happening around me.
Do you have some contrary evidence, or are you just being contrary?
Just watched this video and I am stunned.
The “cop” with the Assault rifle was waaay too amped and frankly I won’t want to be his partner.
No doubt much of his training was pre Department first person shooter video gaming.
Had his training involve real situations his victim might still be alive.
Speaking of the victim.
He was scared shitless(pardon my language, Mods)
Aside from being a little jumpy, he tried to follow the cop with-a-hard-on verbal instructions that didn’t come from a “calm in control law enforcement professional” but from little man with a big man power complex
I can just hear the words “You will respect my authoritah” from Cartmen from South Park ooze from this “cop”
The victim would have barked like a dog if this megalomaniac with a weapon had demanded.
And if the camera wasn’t rolling would have claimed the victim had “charged him. I am certain
As it is he STILL got away with it.
Institutional Approved Murder.
Real cops should be ashamed to have him mentioned among their ranks.
“Reaching for ones waistband is never a good idea when dealing with the cops.”
If cops are so damned dangerous that normal, harmless behavior will cause them to murder you then don’t mind me when more and more people view cops as a threat.
Can’t wait for the inevitable defense when someone shoots and kills a cop and says, “He was pointing a gun at me for no good reason and I was in fear for my life.”
“I wonder what the cops who shot the Vegas shooter were thinking.”
Nothing. The Vegas shooter shot himself.
Sickening. The cop was simply a tyrant with a badge.
His manner and orders virtually guaranteed that the kid would get nervous and make a mistake.
“What difference does it make, the color of the victims of injustice? It should not be allowed to go unanswered.”
That’s exactly my point and the article linked to undermines the politicization claimed by race baters, BLM and other race hustlers regarding these deaths. Using them as social and political footballs is cheap theatrics. Every death by cop must be examined in its own context and circumstances not necessarily from a colored prism.
I’m certain if you were a Police Officer responding to a “man with a gun call” (No, you didn’t pick this guy out randomly to execute) who disregarded explicit instructions, advances directly TOWARDS YOU, and then SUDDENLY GRABBED FOR SOMETHING IN HIS WAISTBAND, would calmly reassure him and gently place him into custody. Every day we watch the leftist scum in the media bait the masses to hate (and execute) Police, yet we, (being truly SUPERIOR), condemn a Cop who shoots at a reported man with a gun who advances towards him and suddenly grabs for his waistband. Some commentators here are as disgusting as the traitorous race baiting communists we complain about daily.
Growing up, I was always told cops were there to help you. For the most part, I continue to believe it.
But there have always been bad cops, and this one went beyond bad.
I really believe there is too much emphasis on “force on force” training, and always coming home alive. I spent 25 years in the military. I was shot at (badly) many times flying. It went with the job. It did NOT give me the right to fly around with a hair trigger.
Protect and serve. Doesn’t have much meaning any more. There is a reason I’d rather carry a gun myself than trust the police to save me - and it isn’t ALL about time.
Theyll be the wild cards in any regional or national SHTF situation...
