A father eating a meal with his family at a Texas Popeyes shot and killed a robber who threatened him and his wife and children with a gun.
Carlos Molina, 32, was eating at a San Antonio Popeyes with his family around 9pm on Wednesday when Andres Herrera, 19, walked in to the fast food restaurant and demanded his money and belongings at gunpoint.
Molina told Herrera that he had no money - because he spent it on the meal - and asked the teen if his family could leave, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

After. More teen robbers need to see such pictures.
Not only did having a gun prevent a perp from injuring or killing innocents, but may also serve to inhibit other would-be robbers to think twice, and think again, before risking to face an armed “victim.”
Im not gonna judge. Having raised 4, I know of times that the school has had activities that kept the kids out late, such as a band concert. If the whole family attends and didnt have supper first, this exact situation can and has happened to us. Maybe they were at a Christmas event. Who knows?
I dont have kids but I have a passel of great nieces all in elementary school (6 of them ages 10 and 9 and 7). While my niece and her husband and my nephew and his wife try to get them to bed by 8:00PM sometimes afterschool activities interfere with this, GSA meetings, dance classes, after school concerts, oh and Ive been to plenty of those
I dont see where this is harmful as long as it is not an every night thing. They could have a 9:00 fast food meal and still get the little skulls full of mush in bed by 9:30 or 10:00. : ),
Carlos...if I was there... I would have paid for your family’s meal. Great job...and the Texas taxpayers will thank you for saving money on that POS...
Popeye’s chicken is alright, but it’s not the be-all-end-all that some seem to claim. Nor is anything else on their menu what I consider “great”, either.
It’s just another fast food joint with an adequate product. Nothing special.

Personally, I think this video is top-notch for teaching bad outcomes from stupidity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISFU5ehObC0

I think the chicken itself is good, but the stuff like shrimp, popcorn chicken and tenders are too dry and overpriced. I order one breast ala carte which comes with a biscuit at two bucks and change for a cheap lunch. If I want a bucket of chicken I go to Walmart and get eight pieces freshly made for six bucks. It’s fresh and actually very good.
Awesome.
“By the way, Im mostly referring to adults taking small children with them to LATE showings of movies and other adult recreational events. And some of these movies are not child-appropriate, not by a long shot.”
Oh, I agree with you there. Little ones get no benefit out of that kind of activity anyway and, if they get whiny, it is a distraction to everyone around them. I especially hate it when kids yak through movies. Adults should always do what’s in the kids’ best interest, unless of course they have no other alternative.
No, he shot in defense of his children. What is there to investigate? This is Texas, not California or Maryland or New Jersey. The man did what he needed to do to defend his family. Enough of this BS investigation crap.
With Photoshop I can make it look like I live in a jungle or the desert.
Dang. In two languages.
Looked like shot number 1 pretty much ended things.
But ammo is cheap and life is expensive.

Remember this TX story? The family in this story was luckier than this gal’s family in a TX restaurant shooting. Her weapon was left in the car and she had to see her parents shot to death in front of her. Her story is tragic but she went on to fight the good fight for gun rights!
