Minnesota Sen. Al Franken will resign from the United States Senate "in the coming weeks" he announced Thursday, a day after a number of his Democratic colleagues called for him to step down amid mounting allegations of sexual misconduct against women.
"Today I am announcing that in the coming weeks, I will be resigning as a member of the United States Senate," Franken said on the Senate floor. "It's become clear that I can't both pursue the Ethics Committee process and at the same time remain an effective senator for [the people of Minnesota]."

That’s my bet - he’ll say “Now, where are all the female GOP senators calling for Moore to step down?”
He assured his audience that Franken HAD NOT resigned. "In the coming weeks" could be anywhere from two weeks to whenever. It could mean he never resigns.
Didn’t Larry Craig also “resign?”
Although if 32 democrats actually called for it, a motion to expel is certainly in order. How long does that take?
ABC will be the first to encourage Franken to stay in the Senate if Roy Moore is elected in Alabama.
These leftist aholes really hold the public in contempt thinking we are that stupid not to see what’s going on with this.
The FBI scam has nothing on these deep state communists in this country.
Folks did you ever think you would see something like this,so right in your face?
Are there any Patriots left anywhere in the Government Behemoth?
Not until/unless the fix is in for his seat....just had to be strong-armed into a tearful tirade against Trump and Moore....choreographed moral righteousness by the Dems....
This means he’ll hang on until it blows over.
Somewhere there is a trove of pictures of Franken smiling and touching women’s breasts. This trove are pictures similar to the one that has surfaced.
The pictures will kill him
