>> Norm didn’t just sit idly by in that election. The case went all the way to the Minnesota supreme Court. I don’t see how you say Norm stood by and let Franken steal the election when it went through the courts, with the election not decided for months. What am I missing? <<

I'm seeing this history revisionism that "Coleman sat by and did nothing while Franken stole the election" repeated on FR a lot lately.

The truth, of course, is that Franken didn't manage to get the stolen seat until July 7 because Coleman had been fighting tooth and nail since November to contest Franken's phony 312 vote margin "win" in his third recount. Numerous "conservatives" here refused to lift a finger to help him and said Coleman "deserved to lose" because he was a "RINO"

Perhaps we should resurrect some threads from 2008, given how many are trying to rewrite history.

Thank you for this information.

Yes revisionist history, or faded memories, are not helpful here.

As you note, it wasn’t until July 7th, a full eight months after the election, that Al Franken was declared the winner. Norm Coleman and the GOP fought it through the court system. I’m not sure what exactly some people expected the Republicans to have done that they didn’t do, to get a favorable outcome in that election.

While the court ruling was disappointing, the GOP and Norm Coleman did all they legally could.
