Perhaps he is holding out to see how the senate election in Alabama shakes out(?). If Moore wins, Franken will have to resign in order to give the dems the "moral high-ground", but if Moore loses, then he can stick around since there will be no need to pressure the republicans to repudiate their guy in the senate. Just a theory.
Always, always point out that these poor scandalized Democrats and the media (I know, same difference) have known about this all these years. And point out that they’ve talked about it and even joked about it. Cokie Roberts has outright said ladies in the press knew who not to get into elevators alone with.
Then follow up that they aren’t outraged, they’re covering their asses.

And, yes, Republicans were involved but you can point out that for over 30 years the seriousness of the charges has mainly gone just one way and that Democrats have largely been protected by the media. You can then follow up by asking: if they’ve been protected wouldn’t you expect folks to take advantage of the fact?
