Justice Department officials are reading through over 10,000 texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, Fox News has learned, after it emerged Strzok was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe following the discovery of anti-Trump messages between them.
Department of Justice officials told Fox News they are in the process of going through the texts so they can hand them over to the House Intelligence Committee.
Strzok, who was an FBI counterintelligence agent, had worked on the Mueller probe, but was reassigned to the FBIs human resources department after the discovery of anti-Trump text messages with Page, with whom he was having an affair. Page was briefly on Muellers team, but since has returned to the FBI.
The disclosure of those messages revived Republican concerns about the objectivity of Muellers probe.
Its unclear whether a significant number of the 10,000 texts have anything to do with Trump or the probe itself.
Justice Department officials say the process of reading and redacting the texts could take weeks, and that the thousands of text messages between Strzok and Page span over several months.
The review process comes as the committee also threatens to move forward with a contempt resolution against top DOJ and FBI officials barring an imminent breakthrough after the agencies did not comply with a deadline to hand over long-sought information that goes well beyond text messages.

It’s a security guy
You could be right. He does rather look like security in that photo.
However, the accompanying story, from August, is about Strzok’s departure from Mueller’s staff.
So, why use that photo to illustrate the story, given the only other significant individual in the photo is Mueller himself?
________
lol
Having been acquainted with some Hungarians, I'd have to say, RightGeek's Peter Strzok looks a lot more Hungarian than the simian visage I posted.
There’s a video Strzok’s speaking....
Haven't seen any video of Peter Strzok himself, however.
Any couple texting back and forth 100 times a day quickly exhaust ‘hey, let’s meet behind the file cabinet’ and move to ‘Comey is slow-rolling her email release so State can redact U1 refs’...
How many of those that were about work were about ginning up BS into a bogus case? Probably used euphemisms, nothing directly incriminating, unless they’re really stupid (hopeful thinking).
Trial of the century is coming.
Put the Agents on the stand and go over each text message, as each was created while he was paid to dig up dirt on Trump and republicans.
I hope the judge allows it, and I hope its broadcast on TV.
I hope a senate committee starts reading them and makes the guy sit through it, and plead the fifth after each message.
well, that site doesn’t hold back
Bye, Mueller.
>Trial of the century is coming.
Is the DOJ awake? Congress doing *anything*??
Sorry, but, IMO, this is where Trump is dropping the ball. It will ultimately come out he was exonerated, but he’s doing NOTHING (yet?) to clean up the mess and attempt to restore Rule of Law; if even to make it better for the NEXT guy, let alone We the People.
Any NUMBER of instances where it’s an open-n-shut case, that would give you or I *YEARS* in the gray-bar hotel, they can’t\won’t even BEGIN to start the process (Holder, Comey, Lynch, Clinton...)
Of course it will! He's not Hillary!
Oh, yes , haven't you heard? The FBI has sexual deviates (male and female) looking for evidence of sexual impropriety against the president of the United States, - wait, what are they looking into again? Russia? oh, forget that, that's not going anywhere . .
POTUS needs to send the sleepy southern gentleman over to Muellers office and seize all their card readers and change the freakin locks - YESTERDAY
You should meet my wife. Her texting drives me nuts sometimes.
When I see her picture, the theme from “Jaws” starts playing in my head.
