NEW DELHI: India should nourish and cultivate its Muslim population which is successful and integrated and considers itself Indian unlike in some other countries, former US President Barack Obama said here on Friday while also observing that PM Narendra Modi recognises the importance of Indian unity.
He said he had spoken of the need for religious tolerance and the right to practise one's faith in private conversations with Modi, a theme he spoke of during his last official visit to India as President in 2015.
Asked at the HT leadership summit if his 2015 comments were intended for Modi, Obama said, "No, I think it was a message to all of us. I have said the same thing to PM Modi in private but I have said the same thing in public in US and in Europe. With migration, people start looking different, there is a clash of cultures. There is a counter narrative taking place, you are seeing in Europe, you are seeing in the US and sometimes you see it in India. Where those tribal impulses reassert themselves. There are leaders who push back against those impulses and those who try and exploit them."

Wow, that’s flippi’n a turd into the Indian Punchbowl! As I recall, Pakistan and East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) were originally part of India that were “muslim heavy” and consequently “trouble areas” for the rest of India, so they were spun off. And even though they are now independent countries, they are still killing Indians. Way to go BO, maybe you can make up for it by shining a few shoes while you’re there!

Inviting Obama to speak in India about Islamic relations is a catastrophe for the Indian people. Soon the bombs will be exploding.
There are parts of northern India which have larger numbers of muslins. Coincidentally, people have been dying of violent causes in rather disproportionate volumes in those areas.
So, let us give Mr Obama’s suggestions the respect they deserve.

I missed something; in the Mumbai terrorist attack, was that Muslims “nurturing” everyday Indians?
I would suggest the Indians do not need to NURTURE their Paki enemies, but then again I don’t live there, and neither do you, traitor scum.
They need to stay in their damn part of the world, they have no business mixing with other people. Maybe in a few hundred years, maybe, but until then stay in your sh&t hole.

Those “tribal impulses” are a result of a judgment from GOD at Babel. That judgment has never been lifted, and one can surmise that America would NEVER have done the impossible had not GOD permitted a rearrangement of the boundaries which HE in fact chose to set/allow (my opinion, but see: Acts 17).
Tribal impulses are the healthy norm of peoples separated by GOD. I have always seen Obama’s views on this as utterly perverse and, therefore, from Satan.
