The leadership is as corrupt as can be. This guy must be a shill for Comey and McCabe. He knows what Trump was saying. I still wonder why McCabe is still around. His wife took bribes on his behalf for her Virginia state senate campaign and everyone knows it.
The issue is, as you said, “the leadership” of the FBI is as corrupt as can be.” I’ll add “incompetent”.
This includes the leadership of Louis Freeh (he blew the 9/11 Hijacker warnings from his agents re his middlemen cut off crucial information about “one-way flight training” by the Saudi hijackers; Comey - now we know what a screw-up he was, esp. re the Clinton email investigation; and Mueller - don’t think he’s as good as his projected image says. In fact, he might be the worst of all of them in his new roll as the “Emperor’s High Executioner”.
Say what you want about J. Edgar Hoover, but he ran a tight ship (OK he could be a Capt. Bligh, but there was no 9/11 on his watch), his agents were dedicated in their jobs (with only a couple leftist defectors (think it was Fred Cook, someone named Tuller, and later Rochon).
Look up the incredible job that the FBI did on the Venona intercepts (Lamphere); Operation Solo - my old acquaintance Ray Wannell; the wrap-up of the KKK in the mid-60’s (See the movie “Mississippi Burning”) and the Rosenberg-Greenglass spy rings.
While Hoover wasn’t perfect, he didn’t fool around with the nation’s security (some more on this will probably be released in another 25 years).
Do I have faith in the individual FBI agent today? Yes. Do I have faith in the Obama political hack FBI leaders - NO!
