But Trump, even on the campaign trail, always appeared to be freshly pressed and thanks to a brief passage in former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski's book, Let Trump Be Trump (co-authored by deputy campaign manager David Bossie), now everyone knows why.
The book reveals that campaign press secretary Hope Hicks had one rather unusual responsibility:

If it weren’t for the religious, pop culture and computer posts FR would have about 50 a day. Unlike the 200 to 300 years ago.

Come on, an “frnewsjunkie” of ALL people should know that one of the primary purposes of this site is to know what the liberal media is reporting. Otherwise, how can we counter it with our vastly superior intellects?

I worked with a guy who had been a Marine Embassy Guard, and his clothes always looked great. I asked him what was his secret and he said “I press them.” I said “So?” He said “After I put them on.”

And a filet of fish. I’m just assuming he had fries also.

We had lamb shanks tonight with Brussels Sprouts. If you lived nearby I would’ve invited you over.

I can definitely hear Trump making those statements, but then, so what? There’s a process to get ready for meetings and appearances. Will the Make Up Artists be interviewed next, and talk about how ‘invalidated’ Donald Trump made them feel in the Green Room? I sure hope not. No pun intended with the word ‘Hope’.

Next time try a little Ras al Hanout spice in place of the tumeric, and add some chopped up anchovy filets.

NYT: Part Butler and Part Buddy, Aide Keeps Kerry Running By JODI WILGORENAPRIL 28, 2004
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/04/28/us/part-butler-and-part-buddy-aide-keeps-kerry-running.html
The man who would be president takes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches -- on whole wheat, strawberry jelly preferred to grape -- twice a day on the campaign trail. He wears $15 reading glasses, off the rack at CVS. Before bedtime, he starts but rarely finishes movies like ''Seabiscuit'' and ''The Blues Brothers'' in his hotel suite. Come morning, he leaves $20 for the maid. Voters do not learn these tidbits about Senator John Kerry, the all-but-crowned Democratic nominee for president, from his campaign Web site, his public speeches or his television advertisements. These and other details make up the portfolio of the man literally behind the man, ready with an uncapped bottle of water whenever Mr. Kerry's throat runs dry..."
Yet none of these people freaked out. Odd...
