Germany wants to support rejected asylum-seekers who voluntarily move back to their home countries with a one-time payment of 3,000 euros ($3,570).
The Interior Ministry says those who qualify can apply by a Feb. 28 deadline and they would get the money once they return home.
Migrants who agree to go back even before their asylum request is rejected have already been offered 1,200 euros per adult and 600 euros per child under a different program for almost a year. They are now eligible to apply for both programs.

We always thought that Germans are intelligent and logical. I haven’t seen either quality demonstrated for quite a while now. This is just one of the most stupid things I’ve ever seen-—you let murderous thugs into your country, contrary to the most basic common sense, and then you want to give them MONEY to leave? That works just like ransomware, where the perp creates an unpleasant situation on your computer and wants you to pay them to get rid of it. Why can’t the military just round them up and toss them on ships back to Hellistan?
Imagine Helga, a beautiful German woman, who slips into her pretty dirndl each day and then serves big mugs of beer to rough patrons, earning enough to pay for the doctorate in biochemical engineering that she is working on, and paying $3,570 in taxes each year.
That $3,570 is then put, by Merkel, directly into the pockets of crude slobbering savages in order to get them to return to the lifeless desert from which they spawned.
That is unfair to Helga.
