Flynn's unmasking was the real crime along with others that we will learn about.

You know, here's what gets me about this.

Trump's a smart guy, and so is Flynn.

I think that if they both know this to be truth, there would be more of an outcry from them.

Certainly if I was Flynn I'd be crowing and talking about this EVERYWHERE, EVERYDAY. I would go on any and every show, blog, podcast, etc., etc. and tell EVERYONE how I was being railroaded for political reasons, and how using national intelligence to "get" political advantage was poison to the country and treason. Only a sniper could take me out.

But now he'll probably do some jail time in Club Fed at the best, and lose his shirt financially.

So, is there some kind of stratergery going on behind the scenes the rest of us are not privy to? That is what makes me doubt the Mueller works for Trump behind the scenes idea. The stakes are very high for these people.

Maybe that's why I only got to E-8 while he got to O-9...

The problem is that Flynn and to some extent his son, were engaged in these various dealings with Turkey and other countries lobbying for their interests. The Inside the Beltway crowd is populated by these consulting firms that use access to attract foreign money. Retired generals, admirals, diplomats, congressmen, etc. are representing foreign countries. Even Kissinger acted on behalf of China.

No doubt Flynn may have some skeletons in his closet or vulnerabilities to prosecution that cause him to remain silent. And then there are the tremendous legal costs that can literally bankrupt you. His statement speaks volumes:

After over 33 years of military service to our country, including nearly five years in combat away from my family, and then my decision to continue to serve the United States, it has been extraordinarily painful to endure these many months of false accusations of “treason” and other outrageous acts. Such false accusations are contrary to everything I have ever done and stood for. But I recognize that the actions I acknowledged in court today were wrong, and, through my faith in God, I am working to set things right. My guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the Special Counsel's Office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family and of our country. I accept full responsibility for my actions.

I doubt Flynn will do any prison time. And he will get a pardon from Trump before he leaves office. It is important to note that Flynn was interviewed by the FBI long before Mueller arrived on the scene. Since the FBI had the recordings of Flynn's conversations with the Russians prior to his interview, it was an easy matter to catch him in a lie, especially with no counsel present.

So, is there some kind of stratergery going on behind the scenes the rest of us are not privy to? That is what makes me doubt the Mueller works for Trump behind the scenes idea. The stakes are very high for these people.

I don't subscribe to the theory that Mueller is working with Trump given the composition of his proprietorial staff. And the revelations about Peter Strzok and Lisa Page are truly disturbing. It brings into clear focus the obvious partisanship of the investigators not only into the Russian collusion case, but Hillary's emails and Benghazi. Strzok (and McCabe) was a lead investigator, not some underling. He participated in the interview of Hillary on the email scandal. I wonder how much he was involved in the granting of immunizations and the decision to allow Cheryl Mills to act as Hillary's lawyer during the FBI interview.

Well I am just as troubled as you, AB.

There is more to Flynn than we know. The spy thing....could be.

Because I get so disgusted when I listen to the news and hear about this Russian collusion, the millions of dollars being spent that could house the homeless.

I got an idea for what Trump should do, and could do very well.

Beg me and maybe I will delineate.

And it WILL work.
