Annette briefly filed for divorce in 2006, claiming she suffered “cruel and inhumane” treatment from Lauer, who she said in legal documents was controlling and demonstrated “extreme anger and hostility.” She withdrew the divorce filing a month later.
Another well-placed source insisted that the reason Annette withdrew her divorce filing is that Lauer offered her a post-nuptial agreement at the time of the filing, offering her up to a rumored $5 million deal to remain in the marriage.
The source said, “Matt needed to stay in the marriage to keep his reputation as America’s nicest dad. He is in fact a great, and very doting dad to his kids, but he is also a terrible husband.”

I’ve been reading this thread and it seems to me that FReerepublic has become almost as snarky and judgmental as any other liberal site. Posters seem to be rushing to beat others to judgment. “Cold dead eyes “ as if you can divine a persons whole psyche from a single picture. It’s getting worse every day. Just read on another thread about a cop who told a kid he’s harassing him because he’s white posters sticking up for the cop.
I’m not sure I want to read this garbage anymore.
Matt is going to loose everything that is important to him.

Annette was very pretty, as any photo search will prove and is still an attractive woman.
This photo does her no favors and is a severe expression, but she’s been through plenty, emotionally, and kept to herself.
Having little boys and keeping the family glued together with duck tape is very important. It’s all doable since bad Matt lives the week in the city and the family resides peacefully together in the Hamptons, able to function among supportive friends.
I’m very sorry for the boys, and Annette has her own troubles. She’s owed the extra $5 million, imho, and half the property, and maximum child support and college expenses guaranteed.
These guys battle over money, for money and with money. Let them cough money to mom and kids.

Pretty flimsy evidence that Lauer is a pervert, by the way he dresses. He's a pervert because of his actions, not his fashion sense.
