Thousands of Twitter users on Friday were urging people to #BoycottSanFrancisco after a jury there decided Jose Ines Garcia Zarate, a five-time deported Mexican man charged with shooting and killing Kate Steinle, was not guilty.

“You better check out the produce section closer here in Los Angeles stores”

Thankfully, I never have to because I view Los Angeles as a boil on the ass of our fine state. Up here in NorCal, there’s plenty of locally grown produce all year round, and if you want the freshest available you have only to go to the local farmer’s market any Saturday morning.
As a little kid, I loved going to SoCal. My dad’s cousin was one of the founders of SaveOn Drug and they had a place in Balboa. Going there was a real treat. Now the only time I’ve been there in recent years is to get through it going down to the Long Beach Grand Prix. The last time I went it was with a retired Black former LAPD officer who grew up in San Pedro. He remarked when we stopped in the Valley for a bite to eat that he wished he’d brought his pistol with him.
