Absolutely....if on concrete or another hard surface like that the range is pretty far

Bottom line, the public defender convinced the jury that it was not murder because he did not target Steinle directly. They must have believed the gun went off accidentally, too since deliberately shooting the gun among the people on the pier would meet the definition of 2nd degree murder ( a killing caused by dangerous conduct and the offender’s obvious lack of concern for human life).

The City of San Francisco has Steinle’s blood all over their hands - the guy would not have been on the street but for their sanctuary city policies which are most deliberate and not any sort of an ‘accident’. I think letting this guy off puts more wind in Trump’s sails, not less, for the border wall & punishing sanctuary cities for disregarding the law.
