Yeah, the Oakland Coliseum is very near where the old 3/8” mile banked track used to be in East Oakland.
There was a Malibu Grand Prix cart track right next to it, when MGP bit it they took it over for a parking lot. There was a bunch of remedial excavation there, they must have put some seriously foil thickness USTs in those places because lots of them had some good masses under them. I abandoned the monitoring wells later, they were a pain to find in a gravel lot, several were filled with beer bottles too :-)
