Follow the money. If they had a cure, think of the impact on Social Security and Medicare. So who gets harmed the most?
If they had a cure, do you think they would withhold it from members of the establishment?
But remember who owns members of the establishment. Not a smart idea.
This is in the hospital complex on Lenox Hill; I know many of the people who work there, especially across the street at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
You people could not possibly be more wrong, and what you're saying makes no sense in terms of free market economics, to boot.
"Big Pharma" and smaller independent pharmaceutical companies are pouring tens of billions of dollars into cancer research. When new therapies come, they mean thousands of new jobs for doctors, researchers, and technicians. NO ONE working in cancer treatment is going to lose their jobs when cures are found. (And it is highly unlikely there is going to be a single cure anyway.) No company can afford not to be in this game because the competition is absolutely cutthroat, and the stakes are enormous.
If you know any oncologists, they have terrible, depressing jobs and not one of them -- clinical or researcher -- would have anything to do with covering up a cure. NO oncologist or cancer researcher would participate in suppressing a cure for this deadly disease. It's the fulfillment of their careers and lives to participate in anything that can help their patients.
Listen to yourselves. This might as well be DU.
Ridiculous.
