* A medical examiner who had his license revoked in another state. Why? He lost it falsifying autopsies.
* The medical examiner’s supervisor had contributed thousands of dollars to the congressman’s election campaign.
* Contradictory reports about whether there is a visible head injury or not.
* A medical conclusion that contains several inconsistencies. First, that Mrs. Klausutis, who was a marathon runner, died of a cardiac arrhythmia. Second, that although she had suffered a fractured skull and a “contracoup” bruise on the opposite side of the brain, the injury could not possibly have been caused by a physical assault. HER SKULL WAS KICKED IN !!!!
* Then there’s the question of whether the office was locked and the lights were on. One report says the door was locked and the lights were off; another report says the door was unlocked and the lights were on.
* And if all this weren’t enough, there’s the scientist husband who does high level weapon design work for the Air Force.

Dr. Michael Berkland, former medical examiner, arrested for storing human body parts in Fla. storage unit

Crudely preserved brains, hearts, lungs and other organs and specimens were discovered in more than 100 containers last month in a Pensacola storage unit that Berkland rented for about three years. The unit was auctioned off after Berkland defaulted on his payments, according to an arrest affidavit.
Ten cardboard boxes stacked in a corner of the unit contained “numerous individual containers with ... human remains stored in a liquid substance,” according to the affidavit.

“November 21, 2001—Prior to coming to northwest Florida, Dr. Michael E. Berkland served as Deputy Medical Examiner for Jackson County, Missouri, from 1994 to 1996. He was terminated from the medical examiner’s office because he did not perform his duties as a medical examiner… He later lost the authority to perform autopsies in Missouri when the Circuit Court of Jackson County found that he had indeed falsified autopsy reports. Finally, in March 1999, Dr. Berkland lost his license to practice medicine of any kind in the state.”
“The Circuit Court of Jackson County found in its ruling on February 19, 1998, that the ‘defendant poses a substantial probability of serious danger to the health, safety and welfare of his patients, clients and/or the residents of Missouri.’ The court continued that “respondent’s conduct as set forth herein constitutes misconduct, fraud, misrepresentation, dishonesty, unethical conduct and unprofessional conduct in the practice of medicine.”
“In applying for a job with the Jackson County medical examiner’s office, Dr. Berkland submitted a resume that claimed internships with the legendary gunshot-wound expert, Dr. Vincent DiMaio, of Bexar County, Texas. However, in an affidavit filed with the court, Dr. DiMaio alleged that Dr. Berkland was not telling the truth: ‘Dr. Berkland never entered nor competed for a Forensic Pathology Fellowship at the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office.’”

I demand that CNN answer questions about the vetting of national reporters, the health of the working conditions in their studios, are reporters special candidates for blackmail and can they be trusted.
It isn’t just the possible criminality of the reporters alone, it is the honey trap environment that CNN has created. The need to present answers to these questions to the FCC and surrender broadcast rights until they are cleared of this wrong doing.

Repeated requests to Dr. Stephen Nelson, Chairman of the Medical Examiners Commission, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, have failed to verify that Dr. Berkland’s suspension was lifted and that his licensure and disciplinary record are clear at the present time. Dr. Nelson was appointed Chairman of the Commission by Governor Jeb Bush.
