So depressing - to be superseded, no doubt, by halal butchers. Do Europeans ever stop persecuting Jews?
Funny thing, despite the expense, kosher meat, particularly poultry, is wonderful. I buy my Christmas turkey every year from a kosher butcher. He has a foreign accent (unknown) and every time he says to me “What day is Christmas?” and I remind him, lol.

In recent years they have been suffering both from declining revenues due to emigration from France by Jews fearful of jihadist violence and anti-Muslim measures targeting the ritual slaughter of animals. The irony is Mooslims will not be affected by the law because they only recognize Sharia law.

This article makes it seem like the Jewish butchers are doing it to themselves. That may well be the case. And if the main issue is they don’t want to stun the animal before/shortly after cutting, then I lack sympathy for the butchers.
