Can you imagine what it would be like to see your lifes work suddenly go down the drain? I can - right now. As a former Time editor who spent 13 years editing the magazines coverage of environmental issues, I am in despair because Time Inc. is selling itself to Meredith Corp. in a deal that includes a $650 million investment from Charles and David Koch, whose Koch Industries is a big player in the oil and gas business and whose philanthropy has long funded climate-change denial. It is a tragic end to a Time story that was once glorious but turned sad as corporate woes increasingly affected the editorial product at one of Americas iconic news outlets. The story is not just about the fate of Time. The story is about the fate of the world.
For the moment, we will still have the harsh truth about climate change published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone and The Nation. But the Internet is hurting those publications revenues as well, and what happens if they too get bought by the deep-pocketed titans of fossil fuel?
I still have faith that in the long ideological war over climate change, the truth will eventually prevail. The ravages of global warming will become too obvious to be denied, even by the likes of Trump. But by then the damage to the planet may be irreversible, and my beloved Time, once a soldier for truth, may be marching with the forces of greed and deception.

The Koch Brothers are down around number 60 or more in the list of biggest donors to political candidates. They aren’t even in the same league as the NEA, Steyer, Soros, etc.

Charles Alexdander is nobody to be following!
The Koch brothers have been a huge net positive to US politics.
But I seriously doubt that they could resurrect Time after their Hitlery “Madam President” faux pas.
They’re dead Jim!

Open borders, gay marriage, NeverTrump. Wholl be able to tell the difference between them and current Time?
Yes it is.
It would be a Good Thing if the Koch brothers went dollar-for-dollar anti-Soros!
Wow. The fate of the entire world rests on the demise of a particularly seedy glossy forty years past its prime. Has the Long March Through The Institutions come to this? Well, yes, it has. Time magazine, laid out on a slab like Che Guevara with his toes a-wigglin'. If the new owners are hiring I'm thinking they could find staff on 4chan and Reddit. Praise Kek.
>>The Kochs are just loaning $650 million as part of a $2.85 billion business buy. They arent taking a seat on the board. Without a seat on the board they have no say in the running of the company. They just get payments on their loan.<<

As you probably know, creditors never take board seats because their interests could oppose equity.
However, creditors often become converted to equity before all is said and done,
If he’s going to eat his gun, I’ll watch. I might even help.
Wow. Narcissist much, bruh?
Get over thyself.
