When retired Marine Col. Lee Busby read it was too late for a write-in candidate for the Alabama senate race, he said, Hold my beer, we will just see about that.
Busby told The Daily Beast on Monday he is launching his long-shot bid to stop Republican nominee Roy Moore from reaching the Senate.

It’s the never Trumpers all over again. The GOPe is a bigger enemy to MAGA than even the Democrats are.
He will not get my vote either. Vote Moore.
Murtha was also a Marine. Who’s paying him to run?
Is McConnell in the mix on this?
Does a turtle poop in the pond?
...
The Swamp.
It sounds like he is being paid to do this.
The only thing they say is that he is a retired Marine Colonel, no information whatsoever about his qualifications or experience or motivation.
And when he announced, the Washington Post just happened to be there to give him an extremely positive write up.
Moore refused to give in. First they brought out false allegations from 40 years ago. Now they just found a “retired Colonel” no one ever heard of.
I have read and reviewed some of his decisions and case work
Roy Moore is one of the most uniquely qualified Senate candidates in a generation
Being from Bama, he will be lucky to get 150 votes. No-name character, and 99 percent never heard of the guy.
This guy as chair of the grant committee accepted money for a bust that he did...
Can we say violation of conflict of interest rules for non-profits.

Alabama unveiling bust of alumnus killed in Afghanistan
Forester visited Busby’s Tuscaloosa studio three times. Busby used photos and Thad Forester for reference as he sculpted the features, striving to get the nose, the ears, the wry smile just right.
Busby, a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, chose Mark Forester from a state-by-state database of service personnel killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Busby, working with sculptor Caleb O’Connor, created a similar bust for Johnny Micheal Spann, an Alabama native and the first U.S. combat death in the war in Afghanistan. The Alabama Marine Foundation funded the Spann bust and helped fund the Forester bust along with the University of Alabama.”
He’s gotta be a big time never Trumper establishment turkey.
It appears that this guy is “IN” with the University of Alabama as most of the grants he approved went to them.

Likely.
Some people I knew in the Marines (67-71) were a**holes. All former Marines aren’t the best thing since sliced bread.
Just wow. The swamp is deep, deep, deep. The swamp critters are throwing everything they can against the wall. What will be their next move be, an "Arthur Bremer" ?
He retired from the Marines in 2013. Since then he has been making sculptures of fallen servicemen for their families.

Wow all this angst over one lil potential Judge from AL becoming a Senator. Truly a circus of the demented thrown at Judge Moore. Win Roy win and defeat them All.
I’m guessing Lee Busybody has talked strategy with Evan McMuffin?
He’s a swamp monster, determined to put the babykilling demonicRAT in office ... he’s a disgrace to the Marine Corps.
“Hold my beer,”
What kind of beer was he drinking? Can tell a lot about a man by his beer brand.
