McCain explains why his boot was on a different foot (it's an innocent mistake)
The Hill ^ | November 23, 2017 | Brett Samuels

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Thursday clarified that his walking boot is on his right foot, adding that he switched it to his left to "give it a break."

McCain caused confusion when he posted a photo from his daughter Meghan's wedding in which his walking boot was on his left foot. He had previously been seen wearing it on his right foot after he suffered a minor tear in his right Achilles tendon.

McCain’s thinking tells us how out of touch he is with every thing important (torn achilles or good/bad for our country and it’s citizens) and why he keeps “goofing” up any real help trying to happen by others. His thinking you just switch to the other side, it’s gotta help..... /s

That’s weird isn’t it.....

But iirc that’s what they told me to do. Like the strong leg is in the middle and the weak leg and cane/crutch work together/act in concert. Like a tripod-ish kinda thing.

If McCain was a worker’s comp claimant under surveillance and was caught wearing his brace on his strong foot, the adjuster would be seriously looking at his claim for other indicators of fraud, and rightfully so.

Maybe it’s an alcohol detection bracelet, very common where I practice

Yeah, I know a guy who broke his leg. He took the cast off every other day to give it a "break." It took 6 months to heal.

total fraud and fairy tale story teller...

Now I wonder if he hurt his tendon at all...

At 81 he is losing his mental abilities..Sad to see but even sadder that he is making decisions for over 300 Million Americans..that is not right at all. He needs to step aside ..and become a FORMER SENATOR...

Yeah. Mine has been bad for a couple of weeks now. It’s getting better, but the whole time I kept forgetting which foot to limp on.

Al Franken forgets which boob to squeeze. So he goes for both.

Exactly. I could see leaving it off the injured leg to "give it a break." But what sense does it make to put it on the uninjured leg? Why does the good leg need the brace? McCain's lost it and the people around him aren't too bright either.

Agree. I went back to The_Donald thread, and some other medical people have weighed in. To a person they say this is a bizarre explanation with no basis in fact. They also say an Achilles tendon tear would have taken longer to heal. Hmm.

If McCain were a Republican, the MSM would be on this story. As it stands, he’ll get a pass.

Painful as heck and I never once thought to switch the rig

It was 6 weeks before I could start walking without the cast/boot. I slipped once and stepped on the injured leg and it hurt about as much as a ruptured disc in my back.

McLaim could be correct if he has absolutely no feelings in his body.

Juan has never got it on the left/right thing in politics so why should his leg be any different? That tumor must have burrowed into the “moron zone” now...

Ugh.. I voted for this a-hole. Lost, of course, but still.

When they said he was “too old” and Sarah Palin might be president, I pressed on the pen a bit harder when I put the checkmark in.

Moshe Dayan was famous for using that trick with his eye patch. You could tell whether he trusted a person or not by which eye he covered when he met with them.

He just happened to have his right sneaker with him all the time just to give it a rest?

I had my doubts when I first saw this but good grief! If he has a tear on his Achilles on the right and a sneaker is all laced up, then how did he manage to walk to the bench and where is his cane?

Maybe the Feds switched the ankle bracelet to give his right ankle a break from the chaffing that would obviously occur.
