A mother has demanded her six-year-old son's school bans Sleeping Beauty because the princess does not give consent to be kissed.
Sarah Hall, from Northumberland Park, North Shields, claimed the fairytale promotes an 'inappropriate sexual' message to young children.

The Beauty knew the curse before she fell asleep and knew that the Prince would kiss her. If she hadn't wanted him to, she could have told her parents to place an armed, kiss-proof guard around her--or lock her in a kiss-proof vault--or something like that.
Sarah is making some silly assumptions that don't hold up under scrutiny, and she doesn't credit Beauty with enough sense to make her own decisions.
Hate to say it BUT these teachers/parents/students of today etc are ALL the after product of people born pre 1940 and the Boomers who are the ‘1st wave’ of WWII/Post WWII types.
So, in essence, WWII afterthought was a ‘rich’ migration rather than a ‘dust bowl’, ‘gold rush’ type where people only moved out of ‘desperation’.
The WWII ‘migrants’ had money and the premise of being born in one area and living there ALL your life changed forever.
We had to ‘invent’ planes for travel because it was nigh impossible for all to just go ‘over the river and through the woods’ to get to Grandmas House or Nursing home/facility because ‘we’ no longer care.

Sleeping Beauty claims she has a restraining order and this clown has been stalking her. She now alleges he spiked her drink and as she was waking up, he’s kissing and slobbering on her. He’s done.
I know I’m a teen but I have to say this: Mrs. Hall, it is a Freaking Children’s book. Why not write today’s version of Sleeping Beauty. Oh wait Sleeping Beauty is politically incorrect. Sleeping could insult insomniacs and Beauty offends ugly people. What would it be named by liberals. Also, should William Tell be banned?
