A federal jury has awarded a transgender woman more than $1 million after finding Southeastern Oklahoma State University discriminated against her and wrongfully denied her tenure.
Jurors sided with former English professor Rachel Tudor on Monday, The Oklahoman newspaper reported. Her lawsuit alleged the university treated her differently than non-transgender professors, including by subjecting her to unfair rules about bathroom use and what she could wear on campus.
“I tried not to make a big deal of it. I just wanted to do my job,” Tudor testified during the trial.
Tudor also alleged the school’s tenure committee voted in favor of granting her tenure when she applied during the 2009-2010 cycle, but administrators didn’t follow the recommendation. The university later terminated her employment in 2011. …

This does not bode well. A university acted sanely. But lost a $1 million trying to do it.

$1,000,000 divided by 3,132 students equals $319 per student
Let the students know that they must each pay an extra $319 for her and let them have a conniption....

In stark contrast to the personal rights that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect, the Bill of Rights a famous example, the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect so-called LGBT “rights.”
Such politically correct “constitutional rights” are being wrongly established by a corrupt Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration imo, Congress predictably wrongly letting the activist court that decided this case get away with stealing and exercising state legislative powers.
Nor have the states expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds the specific power to regulate INTRAstate school policy or employment issues.
So this award by a federal court is helping to unconstitutionally expand the already unconstitutionally big federal government’s powers imo.
