Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who is dealing with the political fallout from allegations of sexual misconduct by an Alabama GOP Senate candidate, immediately called on the ethics committee to investigate Franken.

What the h*ll is McConnell thinking? He gave Franken (and the entire Dem party) a HUGE out here. Call for Franken to resign, and you put tremendous pressure on him and the Dems, especially with everything they've said about Moore. All an ethics investigation does is allow Dems to hide behind it -- prepare to see a million variations of "I can't comment on an matter pending before the ethics committee."

McConnell is who this strike was really aimed at...the message is to HIM. His Swamp is vulnerable...and now he’s sitting in a pile of S**t of his own making.

Call for Franken to resign, and you put tremendous pressure on him and the Dems, especially with everything they've said about Moore.

And if Franken did resign then wouldn't that pretty much force Moore to withdraw? Or, if Franken waits until after the election, resign as well?
