Attorney General Jeff Sessions reportedly has no intention of trying to reclaim his old Senate seat as Republican leaders scramble to find an alternative to their party's nominee, Roy Moore, who is facing a slew of allegations of sexual misconduct with teenagers.

Sources told Politico that Sessions is not interested in returning to the upper chamber of Congress, despite being contacted by former colleagues, like Alabama's senior senator, Richard Shelby.

Sessions is a man under total external control. My guess: blackmail.

McConnell would rather have the Democrat than Roy Moore.

Please Sessions do so! We can then get a AG who is not sleeping on the job!

Good. In a perfect world, Moore wins then Trump fires Recusie Sessions and we’ll be definitively done with mister Recusie, never to hear of him again, except when his orbituaries recall him as the most useless AG in history.

And with all the effort we're spending getting rid of Moore we won't have time to pass tax reform in 2017. But vote for us in 2018 and we'll get it done in 2019. That's a "GOP promise*" -- Mitch McConnell

*(disclaimer) "GOP Promise" doesn't mean what it seems to say. See "repeal and replace"

“Sessions is a man under total external control. My guess: blackmail.”

I’m still willing to give Sessions more time to “prove” himself, but his weighing in on the Moore allegations makes him part of the conspiracy to block Moore. The enormous effort to keep Moore out of the Senate, part of which was the 30 million spent on Moore’s opponent, has to mean there’s something much more important than sex that’s at stake.

Therefore, I no longer care about Moore’s flirting and ass grabbing. I want to see what happens if he becomes a Senator.

This is a giant scam to get Sessions out of AG job. Maybe McConnell wants Shrillary as AG......

Maybe Sessions figures that Roy Moore will win the election regardless, and doesn’t see the benefit of getting into the mess.
