If McConnell sabotages Moore now and the Democrats take the seat for six years, that takes a lot of pressure off McConnell.
If Moore holds on and wins and is then ousted, the seat becomes vacant again and the Governor can appoint Luther Strange for another two years.

No. He doesn't.
He is part of the entrenched trough feeders who knows how to rake in money and power even if he is not fully in power. He can still make millions more and get more power even if he is the Minority Leader.
Also, if you have followed him even the slightest, he does not know how to actually lead. He is not a true leader and has had his political handlers help him throughout his career. He was totally comfortable as the head of the Senate as long as Obama was president as all he had to do was nothing and then tell us he was doing a great job of stopping Obama.
Now that he has no excuse he and Ryan have no idea what to do as they have been pushed out into the open. They never intended to work for the People, they intended to work for themselves so the only way to get us off their backs is to lose one of the chambers, if not both. They can then go back to making money and trying to tell us what a good job they are doing. As long as they do not have to uphold our Constitution they can pee on us all day long and tell us it is raining.
