To be elected Senator from Ala, must the winner get a majority of the votes, or just the most votes? It’s a runoff state, where the two top winners of the primary go to the general election. But is there were to be a write in, and Moore and Jones were also on the ballot, chances are that no one would get a majority. What then?

7 States including Alabama require primary run offs if not get 50% but

1] Uniquely, Georgia requires a run-off election if no candidates wins a majority of the vote in a general election.
