I had a mountain view obstructed by neighbors trees.

When I went to sell, I offered the neighbor to have a tree service come in and thin and remove certain trees.

He benefited from an improved mountain view also.

Simple solution if you’re willing to have the discussion.

In the ‘80s, we bought 2.5 treed acres to build a home. When the necessary portion of the land was cleared for the building site, it opened up a stunning view of mountains — breathtaking, really. (A mountain range in Alaska.) We hadn’t even known that when we bought the property.

Anyhow, the people across the street liked the new view so much that they got a lawyer and tried to get a Restraining Order to keep US from building OUR house on OUR land. They didn’t want their mountain view blocked.

Nothing came of it; they had no case. Still, it’s hard to believe neighbors can be so insane at times.
