Alabama woman Beverly Young Nelson claimed Monday that Judge Roy Moore sexually assaulted her when she was a 16-year old waitress 40 years ago — telling her story at a New York City press conference held by high-profile liberal attorney Gloria Allred.
Nelson, 56, sat next to Allred and stated that she came to know Roy Moore when she was 15 years old, working in a local restaurant near her high school. Moore was, according to her, a regular, eating in the same seat every night and often complimenting her on her looks.
According to Nelson’s statement, one night, shortly after her 16th birthday, in December 1977, Moore offered her a ride home, only to pull his car around back of the restaurant. She says he then locked his car doors, grabbed her, and attempted to violently force her face into his crotch. She resisted fiercely, the statement read, incurring bruises before he released her.
“I thought he was going to rape me,” Nelson said. “At some point, he gave up.”
Nelson claims Moore told her, “You are just a child and I am the District Attorney of Etowah County; if you tell anyone, no one will believe you,” and then let her out of the car.
According to Allred, Nelson’s sister told her law firm that Beverly related the story to her while still a teenager, that her mother heard of the alleged assault a few years ago, and her husband of 13 years discussed the matter with his wife before they were married.
Nelson produced a high school yearbook which she says is signed by Moore. “To a sweeter, more beautiful girl I could not say ‘merry Christmas,'” the inscription reads.
The note is signed “Roy Moore, D.A.,” and includes the date and venue of their purported interaction.

Gloria wrote the script for that woman today. Did you notice that the girl said that Moore told her ”You are just a child”.

She was working every single night that Moore was (supposedly) there?
A 16 year old, working every single night? Wow, she wasn't studying or hanging out with her homegirls?

She was a minor.
Even in the 1970s, minors could only work a limited number of hours per week, and they couldn't work late night.
I don't think Moore, as a young D.A. deputy, was actually eating dinner there EVERY FRICKING NIGHT.
No, young DAs usually burn some midnight oil, poring over cases or getting paperwork assembled for an important case.
So young Moore was stopping at Old Hickory House in the evening - I'm talking 8pm-10pm here - grabbing a coffee. The equivalent of going to the bar, except that Moore didn't drink then.
And he was running into this teen EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.
Who got that gif of those Africans throwing their heads back and laughing?
I have questions:
1) What waitress takes her yearbook to her work?
2) He parked behind the restaurant. Now once she escaped from the car. Why didn’t she run back inside? What happened to the boyfriend?
3) What rapist would leave an acknowledgement that he was at the scene of the crime?

So she could have been closing on a Friday or Saturday night.
Whenever that raging phony, Gloria Allred, gets on a case, you can bet your bottom dollar that the case is a total political hit job and nothing else. She has done this so often throughout her career that it’s a wonder anyone pays any attention to her anymore.
at this point I don’t know the truth but I believe that two of the women have given enough info that they can be checked out. the fourteen year old girl just check the court records the day of the supposed incident. you cant be at two places at the same time. The girl that Gloria Aldridge is representing supposedly has a year book he signed, test the ink to see if it is old and degraded. also I believe that the chemical composition of the ink probably would be different if the ink is 38 years old. then of course check to see if it is a forgery of his writing also if you check out all of this make sure there is not another Roy More that went to school there also.

These laws changed drastically in the 70s. Especially in Southern states such as AL. That's when they banned people under 18 from working in manufacturing, industrial and farming positions involving machinery, and limited their hours in other jobs if they were going to school.
Even on weekends, kids could work no more than 6-8 hrs a shift and had to be given a 30-minute lunch.

No, this is the hokiest story I've ever heard.
Yearbooks come out at the end of the school year, when they've had as much an opportunity to fit as much of what happened that year inside as they can. Yearbook committees spend the whole school year putting them together.
This is just ridiculous.
Same here. Mine came out at the end of the school year in June.
How many people carry around their yearbooks at Christmas? What year was the yearbook from? Aren’t yearbooks distributed at the end of the school year?
BTW, I never said anything about sex in noting the signature was a forgery.

Do you eat at the same restaurant EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and run into the same sixteen year-old girl EVERY SINGLE NIGHT?

Allredy-to-go, once paraded a woman out, and she placed a box of tissues on the table. She knew the flood of tears was coming.
Your questions is the reason why she wasn’t allowed to take questions at the press conference. Their just hoping the charade can hold together for a few weeks.
I have owned a number of cars of that vintage and the locks were all manually operated.
One other thing, if any of the doors were locked, they could be released from the inside by pulling on the inside door opener handle.
So, unless this woman at the time was mentally deficient or now she is lying, all she had to do was pull the inside door handle and escape into the night.
