Some weeks ago, former President George W. Bush delivered a speech attacking the incumbent president, Donald Trump, and his supporters. That was the unmistakable thrust of Mr. Bushs remarks, in the apprehension of virtually everyone, even though he chose not to mention President Trump by name. The address consisted largely of elliptical references to sins committed against democracy, with the guilty parties left unidentified. But all of the sins referenced -- bigotry, white supremacism, nativism, protectionism, isolationism, casual cruelty, Russian interference in the last election -- sounded like liberal talking points. This address, given at an assemblage entitled Spirit of Liberty: At Home, In the World in New York City, was not criticism of the Democrats.
The former President, of course, has grounds for personal animosity against Trump. As a candidate, Mr. Trump attacked the Bush Administration and, in particular, the Iraq War. He was not kind to Jeb Bush when they were competing for the Republican nomination. And yet, President Bushs two current friends, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, denigrated him often enough. And their supporters in Congress, the press, Hollywood, and everywhere else reviled him. More significantly, this is about the future of the American people, not the personal pique of the famous and powerful.
For those of us who venerate President Bushs leadership in the months after September 11, there is no pleasure in taking exception to what he chooses to say now. The former President, of course, is perfectly free to denigrate the present Republican Administration, having uttered not a word against his Democratic predecessor or successor, whose company he now keeps with manifest cordiality. Mr. Bush apparently deems uplifting the sight of him associating with such men as Bill Clinton and Barack Obama,

I don't regret voting for him as much as I do defending him from The Fake News Media and demoniacRAT attacks.
I do too, but then I look at the alternatives we had back then. We should not have elected GHWB as Reagan’s VP, that is where the wheels came off. That old Globalist set about to undo everything that RR had done., and I just imagine RR could have done a lot more without GHWB’s “help” as VP. Now I spit when I hear the name Boosh. Just hope we, as a country, are done with them. Maybe the Mexican half-breed George P. Boosh will not be re-elected in Texas next time.
Dubya, jealously isn’t pretty on anybody. You’re stuck with your pathetic milquetoast legacy so you might as well get used to it.
Worst mistake Reagan ever made. Elevating that liberal twit to the major leagues. I suppose he thought Bush the Elder would go back to the Kennebunkt Club and follow the man of the house around (Barbara).
W misunderestimated Trump’s ability to take on the establishment.
“Folks, we were all had by the Bushes.”
The real truth is that with the exception of Ronald Reagan, we’ve been “had” by every president in modern history. In the hindsight of history, would you now vote for any of them, starting with “King” FDR? Just think of all the $hit that Lyndon Johnson did once he assassinated JFK.
I am very disappointed in President Bush. That is all I have to say
Folks, we were all had by the Bushes.

Yep, but at least only two out of three. We finally wised up when Yebby tried to con us.
W is dealing with the fact that his little brother was an embarassing dumbass who ran a terrible campaign and got his butt handed to him. He’d be better off cutting brush or riding his bike and preserving whatever dignity the Bush family has left.
(Can’t wait to see how fast they distance themselves from the Clintons after SHTF.)

Trump at outstrategerized them.
Two votes for the father, two votes for the son and 1 vote for Jeb as governor of Florida...
It annoys me that I was so taken in by this horrible family, stupid old man and idiot son! I can’t stand the women in that family either.
When he was in office and people called him stupid I would force myself to argue that he wasn’t. Though I knew in my heart they we’re right. Only voted for him in 2000. Couldn’t do it a second time. But I voted for McCain and Romney so I’m still regretful.
What a string of losers we have had since Reagan.
Hmmmmmm.... wonder why??
“When he was in office and people called him stupid I would force myself to argue that he wasnt.”
And according to college records, his grades were still higher than Gore’s. What does that tell us? If the best of the best should be running for high office, and Gore and Bush happened, we’re pretty much screwed. Thank God for PDJT!
I'm looking forward to the "Trump babies."
Yes we were. I carried water for him until the day after the 11/2006, when he fired Rumsfeld. To me, it demonstrated he never worried about the buck stopping with him.
“Worst mistake Reagan ever made.”
I have come to the conclusion that GHW Boosh was “the price for their support” exacted by the GOPe at the time. Like Trump, they didn’t want Reagan because, like Trump, he was not one of them. So to hang onto their control, the foisted GHW Boosh off on Reagan, and stupidly, Reagan took him, thinking he needed the GOPe to win. Today it “chaps my a$$” when Dana PeeRino wets herself over the Booshes on FNC. The only thing worse than her is which of the two designated Black Idiots are sitting in the “Black Chair” on the Five on a given day, Juan “I’m a stupid Liberal Uncle Tom” Willams, or Richard “Four Eyes” Fowler.
The Bushes need to go away and shut the hell up. I’m sick of all of them! The Clintoons and Obammy’s need to go away also..........to a maximum security prison and take their corrupt minions with them!!!!
As a matter of fact it was
