The murder trial of Jose Ines Garcia Zarate for the 2015 death of Kate Steinle has provided an occasion for right-wingers from coast to coast to demand vengeance on anyone who might look like an undocumented immigrant.
A white person dies at the hands of an undocumented immigrant — and it may even have been an accident — and the Right springs into action, passing laws demanding justice. White people gunned down by another white guy at a church in Texas or in Las Vegas or every day in America … nothing. White people die in fires and floods caused by climate change … crickets. White people die in the opioid epidemic … silence. White people die from lack of adequate health care … busy.
If we can discern beliefs from people’s deeds, and not their words, the only logical conclusion is that white conservatives don’t love their children. I can’t figure out how any parent could love guns and oil more than their children. They must not love their children enough to protect them from any threat at all. They don’t love their children until they’re killed by a person of color.

No, it is standard liberal worldview. That liberalism is love, tolerance, moral, smart, rational.
Which lets liberals reflexively label every other view as hate, evil, stupid or at best ignorant. He’s admitting we aren’t stupid, so he says we act out of hate. Let’s him dismiss all other views as not worth listening to or actively and violently attacking.
This is why “hate speech” rules should be fought by every conservative - liberals already say we’re only motivated by stupidity or hate, so they’ll ban our views as hate speech.

Those fires are caused by arsonists and illegal immigrant squattervilles (and dry forests).
There have been many decades of California fires and it seems seasonal.
Houston’s floods are caused by inactivity in flood prevention by Houston’s corrupt as f*** (AF) Democrat mayors. They want billions for their crony pals’ projects but nothing for the water problems.
The city isn’t “for sale”, it’s been given away to Democrat crooks who have privatized the city’s resources.
I’d rather see it file for bankruptcy than to give away “the goods” anymore.
