An unbelievable level of ineptitude has created a system where the richest communities in America surround Washington, DC where ineptitude pays handsomely. If you had a system that was making you rich, with no consequences for failure, at other people's expense what would be your motivation to change it?

The military issue is bad enough but many court system fail to report convictions also. We had a local shooting 10 or so years ago the was committed by a person that should of been barred from owning a gun - fail by the court at a 100% rate.

When do we say enough is enough?” asked California Senator Kamala Harris

I thought we did that when we rejected Hillary Clinton for Donald Trump!

New gun control laws will solve nothing since the government does not follow existing laws.

Wasn’t Kamala the one who as California Attorney General created a set of gun control laws in California that were soon deemed for the most part impossible to administer because of their overly burdensome weight and overall very poor construction?

I am going to venture a reason why the military is not submitting data.

Let’s say you are air force security. You run a case on an airman who has beaten his wife. You fill out the paperwork required to prosecute the case. You may even testify. You then go back to the office. The case in in the hands of the military court. And...you never hear anything about what happened after that. You are on to the next case.

Even if somebody told you that the airman was convicted, you are busy working another case...or two...or three.

This sounds like a process failure. The process, as designed, will convict the airman, but it is not designed to finish all the paperwork that has come along years after the process was designed and implemented.

“”When do we say enough is enough?” asked California Senator Kamala Harris””

Just as soon as you give up all security personnel who carry guns and move out of a gated community!!!! That goes for Feinstein too!!! That will really be a COLD DAY ~~~~~~~!

Not sure if Feinstein lives in a gated community - heck, not even sure Harris does either and maybe Feinstein doesn’t as she appropriated land that belonged to a SF park years ago so she could add more land to the parcel her home sat on.

“...is worth the blood that flows endlessly onto the floors of American churches, elementary schools, movie theaters, and city streets.”

Our preacher was talking about courage vs. fear today. He mentioned some statistic - something like violent crime is down 75% from 30 years ago. Although polling data shows that the majority of people believe it is more dangerous in America than it was 30 years ago.

Fear is a strong motivating force. It sells TV and newspapers and internet sites offering the latest crazy idea to solve the problem you fear (ED, baldness, money, etc.). It also sells the latest crazy laws.
