Sunday on Full Measure, we have an incredible cover story from The Philippines where President Duterte is drawing international attention for his radical tactics in fighting drug crimes and Islamic extremist terrorism: he has given the green light for police and ordinary citizens to shoot down drug dealers–and users–in the streets without trial.
And he’s installed martial law in the troubled southern region where ISIS is said to be moving in. We’ll talk to President Duterte’s vocal opponents and also some of his supporters as he enjoys popularity ratings that are the envy of any national leader.

Really?
The citizens of there are supporting him with over 80% favorable comments.

When you are at war, due process is never a concern.
The previous threads on this which have been posted over the last few years.
We have quite a few expatriate Freepers who chime in.
The western press is beside itself. Citizenry are supposed to be sheep, who would expire without the diligent and benevolent care of a carefully controlled judicial class. Without the black robed priesthood dictating every move subjects become citizens.
The Philippines is looking like a real good place to be right now. Well except for the oppressive heat and the mosquitoes. And the malaria and the Dengue fever...okay never mind. I liked the people when I was over there but not the climate or the bugs.
I have good friends in the PI. They love Duterte.
There are mountain areas that are cooler.

If we are to save the country, we cannot wait until APCs are at major intersections, for no battle is won by playing better defense. We are the SOMEBODY to whom you are referring that has to go on the offense, and quick. Doesn’t mean conventional war tactics are necessitated.
I am always curious how the country sees their own government. I’m sure in Europe we are bein held hostage by trump. If their government representative their desires for them then good. Mitch McConnell and McCain suck so bad we probably deserve their rule ;).

But I spent my time with a batallion low crawling across various swampy little islands, looking for communist and Islamic groups which intelligence had lost track of during a bad typhoon. With only three rounds of ammunition because they didn’t want us to engage.
Fortunately, another typhoon came along (1982 was bad for typhoons all across the Pacific) and we sailed back to Okinawa. Or unfortunately, as I had met a girl and might have gotten married.

Strange how a scenario of a nuke strike or MOAB dropped on Congress has transformed from a nightmare to one of the best things that could ever happen.

You apparently know very little of what is actually going on in the PI.
Denying people “due process” has little to do with Conservatism and limited government nor liberty.
Whoa, be careful. There’s a lot of patriots (on here as well) who are masters of unconventional tactics, for it would be foolhardy to take on the leviathan in a head-to-head fight, don’t you think?
There is zero lack of due process here.
When arrested either by police ir a citizen, go quietly to the station.
So simple anyone not a drug dealer can do it, and anyone not stoned can understand it.
Fentanyl should be considered a WMD, and dealers should be treated like terrorists.
Just hoping for the best possible outcome to benefit REAL AMERICANS.
We don't have any of those, only RATagandists.
