That’s my guess. He cant really admit to dating an adult woman because then it looks like hes also admitting to taking a 14 year old to his house and getting naked.
He seemed perfectly gentlemanly to the 18 year old even by her own account. Not saying that it happened but its hardly noteworthy enough that Roy would remember it 30 years later.
