Mmmm. Not really. I’d like to say so and maybe I would think better of my adolescence and young adulthood. But, it wasn’t that way for me. My older sister told me when I was about 14 myself that if I took my overweight cousin to the junior high dance i would be seen as a pretty safe date by the insecure but more desirable girls.
She was right.
Did you know that some of the best girls at that age are totally insecure? They are scared to death to jump into the game in a big way. I made a career of them.
There are a lot of factors with young pretty girls growing up. Plenty of them do NOT think they are desirable or fear they aren’t [something] enough. Maybe 99.9% of girls are insecure in middle school. And pretty girls sometimes have already been abused by adults and think they know what is what when they have NO CLUE. It’s a tough time of life for girls who aren’t really busy with a sport or hobby. My hobby was boys and men and I wish I had had a better one like badminton or needlepoint! ;)
