There are a lot of factors with young pretty girls growing up. Plenty of them do NOT think they are desirable or fear they aren’t [something] enough. Maybe 99.9% of girls are insecure in middle school. And pretty girls sometimes have already been abused by adults and think they know what is what when they have NO CLUE. It’s a tough time of life for girls who aren’t really busy with a sport or hobby. My hobby was boys and men and I wish I had had a better one like badminton or needlepoint! ;)
Sometimes when I am feeling a little guilty about my adolescence I think about the dozen or so otherwise date-free girls who I escorted to proms, weddings, etc. at the behest of my older sister. One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was to make that date feel like I was not just a forced fixup. My sister was a smart gal.
