Exactly. This is meant to weaken Moore. If a write-in comes along and that person wins, well and good. If Moore wins then he's weak and ineffective, marginalized and detested by both Republicans and Democrats. In 2020 the GOP primaries him and replaces him. If a Democrat wins then the GOP lives with it and takes the seat back in 2020.
