I have next to no recollection about the girls I dated in the 70’s. It was the 70’s, right? I may have had one date or less (bar hookups, fixups) with 100 girls. I still am running into them from time to time because I now live in the neighborhood I grew up in. I remember the few that I had sex with. But Roy isn’t accused of that, is he? Just calling them or dating?
Let’s face it, you don’t know from shit about what Roy Moore remembers or doesn’t.
I do not know where I was on that date in 1979. Of course. But if someone brought me to a person’s name, someone I remembered knowing, from any time in my past, and I remembered we were friends, YES, I would at least remember whether we were romantically involved.
If you had a one night dalliance with a girl, you might not remember her. And you wouldn’t remember knowing she was your friend. I’m asking you to recreate what Moore said, that he remembers someone (not in his circle of peers but a child when he was an adult) AS HIS FRIEND. But has “no recollection” of them dating or being involved romantically. I call BS. You would remember whether or not you had those feelings for one of your old friends.
I don’t know why he dissembles or lies on this point. It’s bothersome because it’s a Hillary Clinton style lie. He could have admitted dating the 17 year old -it was no crime.
Truly. I was in my teens in the 70’s. I generally went out with guys who were older because they were more mature. I definitely cannot remember what happened on a given day. After high school, I moved away. It was the 80’s. I do not remember everyone I dated. If someone came out and claimed I did x, y or z, well I doubt I would remember, maybe, but, like I said, it was the 80’s. It was a different world then.
