The more and more details like this come out, the more we learn that this guy Gillespie basically defeated himself as opposed to the Dems.
Wow!
Sorry Gillespie. You don’t get it.
Amnesty Ed has always been in favor of the very open borders policies that have turned the once beautiful Commonwealth of Virginia into the garbage dump of the world’s castoffs.
Demography is destiny and GHW Bush decided decades ago that the USA was going to be a bilingual Hispanic country.
Gillespie was part of that cabal.
It was during the GWB terms that MS-13 appeared in Virginia and whole sections were turned into barrios.
too little too late for ed. he was gaining ground the last few days when he started to embrace the populist movement!
Gillespie. Fake immigration hawk. Fake conservative.
As fake as the Bushes reading from a script written by Lee Atwater.
A swamp creature of the highest order. Sucks to basically turn that state over to the Democrats permanently, but it’s so overrun with lobbyists, illegal aliens and leftists, it’s basically a lost cause anyways.
Proof of his being a Never Trumper.
Invited onto the trump train and refused. He stood on the tracks by himself and the train ran over him.
I voted for Gillespie in the same mode as voting for McCain and Romney. Well, at least I voted.
Re: “Gillespie basically defeated himself...”
Gillespie got a higher percentage of Virginia voters than Trump got.
Trump - 44.4% - 2016
Gillespie - 45.0% - 2017
“But with a little bit of luck he won’t be home....!” Stevie KNEW they would say no and they did. Ha ha ha way to go Steve; a risk worth taking.
If you want votes from Trump supporters you better sound like Trump and work like Trump...the GOP con is over with the Trump supporters..My bet no tax cuts from the GOP..
If the Gillespie campaign had welcomed the President's help or Brannon's, the results from yesterday may have been different. But, that would have come with a price.
The GOPe has a common enemy with their pals and is happier with the results than the alternative.
Yes, and he was probably still in the margin for the fraud as well.
Gillespie is a member of the Bush murder sybdicate. No loss.
You gotta admit - that's a pretty high household income garbage dump:

I get why people want to spin this defeat, but theres nothing wrong with being honest about things: Virginia is now heavily populated with government workers who will never vote Republican. It is not a normal state in that regard - MD is the only one like it. There are plenty of other states with more gettable voters. It sucks for those of us who live in VA, but its time for national Rs to cut bait. Its not any kind of bellwether state anymore, so its not worth paying any attention to.
Precisely...
And fake Virginian. A horrible candidate.
And if the conservative had won the primary, the VA establishment would've sabotaged him like they always do. Well, they got their boy this time & look what happened.
