They admit to a total of 151 million records, they don’t admit to thousands or tens of thousands of records on all of the 350 million or so people in the US alone.

And what did the FBI do before Smart phones? Interview. Whatever a phone has, it’s inferior to what can be gained by interviewing.

“And what did the FBI do before Smart phones?”

Gee, I don’t know. How did we text before smart phones?

Interviewing is great. Start by interviewing the contacts, calls, texts, emails, voicemails, photos, downloads, saved and stored media on the sim card, and 10-15 other ideas that haven’t come to me yet.

I daresay a smartphone knows more about you than a spouse.

“I have a hard time believing the FBI can’t break into a suspect’s cellphone.”

If the FBI can’t unlock the phone, no doubt the NSA has digital recordings of all conversations made with the phone.

Not me, but I’m boring as all get out.

I fail to see the profit of investigating someone who was a known quantity by everyone who knew him, yet no one did anything to talk him to sanity.

This IS the same FBI that can pick the lock on Manford’s house.

“....yet no one did anything to talk him to sanity.”

They tried. But reports are out today that he even escaped from a mental facility.

Sick. Our sick society is responsible for these living sacks of garbage. Yet we can’t take a stand for whats right without being labeled as racists, bigots, homophobes, intolerant, or what have you.

“It took a while, but I think that finally happened with the husband-wife Muslim murderers in the Pacific northwest.”

As I recall, a company in Israel unlocked that phone. BTW, San Bernardino is in Southern California not the Pacific Northwest, if you are referring to the shooting rampage I think you are.

I guess it’s an old phone, and they cannot just use his fingerprint.

I say give me the phone and the dead killer. I will put his hand under my arm for two minutes— bingo 98.6.

I wonder if they put him on a Cardiopulmonary bypass (heart/lung machine) and got a forced rhythm, if that would fool the touch sensor?

Maybe Mythbusters could try that sometime.

Oh BS.
When the FBI says they can’t, they don’t want to.
