My conjecture is that we are at Defcon 1 or 2 as a result of picking up intel that Norklandia is going forward with their plant to nuke a vast expanse of Ocean.

DEFCON 1: Never

DFECON 2: Everybody in the USA and the World would know about it. There is no way to hide DEFCON 2.
