It’s tradition around here to snarl at new people and denounce any conservative who is not deemed pure enough. The Richmond TD is not endorsing Ralph and that’s good.
Trying to figure out why ED started his campaign the way he did. I think ED’s head and heart are back pre 2008. That’s when I thought, and perhaps others did too, that those republicans, as weak as they were, was the best we could do.
Then along came Donald Trump. And it was as though we all got a shot of enthusiasm. Ed, on the other hand, doesn’t dislike Trump, but he is shocked by the changes that he brought with him. And with the passage of time and successes, he is seeing the power and strength of the right man as President.
I never really disliked ED, because he was a typical repub leader at that time. What a difference 2016 made.
Were you on the grassy knoll with Ted Cruz's father!)
What the heck does that mean?
If you’re not pure enough as a conservative you can be accused of (gasp!) RINOism!
I have too many times seen on this forum those so called high and mighty PERFECT CONSERVATIVES who would as soon see the country crash and burn rather than even think of violating their precious principles.
As*holes, every one of them!
Since most Trump supporters are also Reagan supporters, the title makes no sense to me. That somehow Reagan supporters would not be capable of supporting Trump, is that their contention here? If it is, it just proves that they really do not know who the Trump supporters really are. More likely that those who hate Trump also hated Reagan, which includes the Republican establishment players.
OMG
Thanks
Hold your nose and vote FOR him anyway, if you're in VA!
I suspect you're not in VA but talking against a WIN, which we NEED in the Senate!!!
bump
Are you on Gillespie's election team?
Seriously, we really would like to know.
In Virginia Election: A Referendum on Decency (Updated: Northam tied to Ad)

If I still lived in Virginia, I would not vote for Gillespie. And my friends that do live there, Republicans, won’t either. He may win but he is a Never Trumper and does not deserve support.
I live here and will hold my nose and vote for him. Not sure what other option I have. Not voting for him is like letting Hillary or Gore win, Ralphy-boy is a dem tool of the worst order. My hope is that Ed will see the light and become something better then a Rino during his term.
Seriously, we really would like to know.

Now its a full court press on MS-13 and Sanctuary Cities. Good luck EG, send Northam off with a defeat.
That's because both candidates are basically nice guys, but about as exciting as used dish water. So their campaign managers have gone full blown Götterdämmerung with the ads these last few weeks, painting each other as the spawn of Satan.
Totally get your concern, but can’t a voter simply share her opinions on here without being called an establishment hack? :)
Gotta have a thick skin to post on Free Republic, newbie.
Noted. And to be a moderate conservative I guess.
