Former Democratic National Committee head Donna Brazile writes in a new book that she seriously contemplated replacing Hillary Clinton as the party’s 2016 presidential nominee with then-Vice President Biden in the aftermath of Clinton’s fainting spell, in part because Clinton’s campaign was “anemic” and had taken on “the odor of failure.”
In an explosive new memoir, Brazile details widespread dysfunction and dissension throughout the Democratic Party, including secret deliberations over using her powers as interim DNC chair to initiate the process of removing Clinton and running mate Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.) from the ticket after Clinton’s Sept. 11, 2016, collapse in New York City.
Brazile writes that she considered a dozen combinations to replace the nominees and settled on Biden and Sen. Cory Booker (N.J.), the duo she felt most certain would win over enough working-class voters to defeat Republican Donald Trump. But then, she writes, “I thought of Hillary, and all the women in the country who were so proud of and excited about her. I could not do this to them.”
Brazile paints a scathing portrait of Clinton as a well-intentioned, historic candidate whose campaign was badly mismanaged, took minority constituencies for granted and made blunders with “stiff” and “stupid” messages. The campaign was so lacking in passion for the candidate, she writes, that its New York headquarters felt like a sterile hospital ward where “someone had died.”

I agree with your reply. It would have been really bad if Biden would have been given the candidacy over crazy Bernie during the final stages of the election. Bernie was fairly close to Clinton with dem voters..

Hillarys campaign was “badly managed” because “smartest Woman In The world” micro -manager Hillary was the one doing the mis-managing.
She has been a failure at everything else she has done in her life (except avoiding indictment), why would running her own campaign produce a different result?

THEY were the ones trying to take out the nominee!
The fact that the former head of the DNC has now publicly stated that she feared for her life during the campaign, calling attention to the unsolved Seth Rich murder in this way, means that Mueller and Rosenstein MUST now make this a part of the current investigation.
Not that I think the Russians did it or would have taken out Brazile. But Mueller and the FBI must now do everything possible to get to the bottom of this. Brazile has made it obvious that this is a NATIONAL political issue and not merely some “local” investigation

“In her first few days on the job, Brazile writes that she also discovered the DNC was $2 million in debt and that the payroll was stacked with “hangers-on and sycophants.” For instance, Wasserman Schultz kept two consulting firms — SKDKnickerbocker and Precision Strategies — each on $25,000-a-month retainers, and one of Obama’s pollsters was still being paid $180,000 a year.”
It sounds like she was a fairly sensible woman, at least compared to everyone else in the DNC and the Clinton campaign.
And still trying to do it after he got elected..
She didn’t have to have that authority to contemplate it, which only goes to show how vacuous her contemplations are.
The racism part of this story could get quite interesting.
But after reading his encephalogram, she decided to just shut up.
I doubt Olympia Dukakis would’ve won the Oscar TM without Mike’s candidacy.
She probably pondered just how big she could’ve been if he’d become grand poobah.

Sorry, the whole thing smells of a distraction/deception operation. This is a battle for control of the DNC (and the country) between the Clinton and Obama families. Like Mafia dons.
