Former Democratic National Committee head Donna Brazile writes in a new book that she seriously contemplated replacing Hillary Clinton as the party’s 2016 presidential nominee with then-Vice President Biden in the aftermath of Clinton’s fainting spell, in part because Clinton’s campaign was “anemic” and had taken on “the odor of failure.”
In an explosive new memoir, Brazile details widespread dysfunction and dissension throughout the Democratic Party, including secret deliberations over using her powers as interim DNC chair to initiate the process of removing Clinton and running mate Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.) from the ticket after Clinton’s Sept. 11, 2016, collapse in New York City.
Brazile writes that she considered a dozen combinations to replace the nominees and settled on Biden and Sen. Cory Booker (N.J.), the duo she felt most certain would win over enough working-class voters to defeat Republican Donald Trump. But then, she writes, “I thought of Hillary, and all the women in the country who were so proud of and excited about her. I could not do this to them.”
Brazile paints a scathing portrait of Clinton as a well-intentioned, historic candidate whose campaign was badly mismanaged, took minority constituencies for granted and made blunders with “stiff” and “stupid” messages. The campaign was so lacking in passion for the candidate, she writes, that its New York headquarters felt like a sterile hospital ward where “someone had died.”

However, treating von Pantsuit as the immaculate standard-bearer for women was stupid from the outset, although some people believed it. Those were people who tore Sarah Palin apart. That one's a no-sale.

Did you not read your own book? Team Hillary took over the DNC and rigged the nominating process long before the 2016 primary season got underway. You explain how in your own book. Now you are in a panic over what you have revealed. You cannot take it back.

Stray thoughts go through everybody's minds all the time, but most of the time, nobody has the focus, determination and resolve -- let alone the power -- to make them a reality.
I saw it. But she was implying she was scared of Russians instead of Clinton.
Trump would never have picked up disgruntled Hillary voters, but they might have stayed home.
And I thought about replacing Jeb Bush with Bozo the Clown, for the third debate.

Never. Like most liberal politicians and operatives, Donna Brazile has never held a real private-sector job in her life. So, she’s always been a full-time plantation worker and has no intention of leaving the plantation.
"....odor of failure...." is very good. Brazile ought to trademark that one.
Seriously, Donna Brazile had better start sleeping with her eyes open. The Clinton mob family has "eliminated" other witnesses and players for far lesser offenses than stabbing them in the back and then twisting the knife a little bit like Donna's doing in her book.
That would have been a good move, but most of us couldn't have told the difference without a name tag.
