Israeli forces struck targets near the Lebanon-Syria border on Wednesday, foreign media reported.
The Al-Mayadeen channel, closely associated with the Assad regime, reported the attack targeted a security facility in an industrial zone in a Homs suburb. They also reported Syrian forces responded with surface-to-air missiles.
The Lebanese Anshara website reported huge explosions near the villages of al-Eyn-al-Jedida, located in the eastern mountain range on the Lebanon-Syria border. Local residents reported Israeli jets circling the area prior to the explosion......

Israel uses Iran and Hezbollah as justification for its actions in Syria militarily.
Putin is visiting Iran. Russia is allied with Iran.
So much of the anti-Russia activity is rooted in the need by the elites to keep the USA aligned with Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Israel.
The first two for money and the third because Israel has a powerful lobby pouring money into our political system.
I hate the anti-Russia agenda when Donald Trump gets dragged into it.
Those who hate Russia come off to me as the Trump Haters.
Ping to the list - thanks for posting
“Those who hate Russia come off to me as the Trump Haters.”
Lumpist.
I’m in the camp of those like Peter Hitchens who ask “Why” when Russia gets trashed and smashed.
The rage against Trump for “collusion with Russia” is part of that mix.
They are mad that Russia, Syria and Trump put an end to ISIS (funded and armed by the West since 2011)?
What will the name of the ISIS replacement rebel group be? MegaISIS? Will McCain visit them too?
Russia supports domestic terrorists here in the US like the idiots who burned Ferguson, MO and the idiots who protested Trump after his election by rioting.
“What will the name of the ISIS replacement rebel group be? MegaISIS? Will McCain visit them too”
Luckily for our country, McCain shortly will be no more.
stick around a while before you make comments, noob... you’re not good at it yet

There’s a pop up asking for 5 bucks.
Better than the mooselimbs, but be informed.
Nonsense. You are the one who brought Russia into the topic, not the report you posted. And in fact Israel’s actions would have been no different if Iran and Russia were not in Syria so much. If Israel and the Saudis are finding some common ground, that common ground is Iran, and it would not change for any reason as long as Iran is taking a threatening stance toward them. In the end, their difference are there no matter what Russia was doing, or who Russia was aligned with. So, there again, Russia may be inserting itself into the Middle East, but the regional flash points there are all derived from security issues of the nations there, regardless of what Russia is doing. It is only “about Russia” to the extent that Russia inserts itself into a situation.
Your mullah / Hezbollah bedfellows are going down hard, Spiridon.
Take your anti-Semitism somewhere else. I stand with Israel.
Genesis 12:2-3King James Version (KJV)
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
I’m no a military expert by any means, but what of the super-scary phalanx called the Russian S-400 anti-acraft missile system?
Kinda impotent, no?
That's a very good observation...
A Russian group supported Black Lives Matter.
“and the third because Israel has a powerful lobby pouring money into our political system”
You misspelled “Russia”
"The breakup of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century." - Vlad Putin
Putin and Western leftists certainly agree on that point. Both also support the mullahs' nuke program.
Indeed, the IDF has revealed Russian military hardware to be inferior for many decades now.
Amen! I second my stand with Israel.
