We have had ice ages and times of warmth that have melted the ice caps many times in the past before man was even on earth. It is a natural cycle and there is not one damn thing we can do to change it.

We may be in a warming period of an ice age or we may be at the end of an ice age. Geologically speaking we are still in an ice age as the polar caps have not melted. If we are simply in a warming period it will soon be followed by cold and advancing glaciers as has happened many time before. If we are at the end of an ice age the polar caps will melt completely and sea levels will rise a couple of hundred feet.

Due to the fact that sea levels rose dramatically over the last 15000 years and then slowed down dramatically I would suspect this is just a warming period of an ice age we are not out of.

It should be noted that the norm of earth is ice age and not these brief periods of warmth we now enjoy . Life is very hard for living things during an ice age. Pray for global warming. Life will flourish and we will slowly over many hundreds of years recede from an advancing sea. It is normal.

Glaciers crush all in their path and life does not flourish. Warm is good. Glacial Ice Caps over the Northern Hemisphere are bad. It is really that simple.
