One name that hasn't come up today but might be a real person of interest is Marc Elias -- the lawyer for Perkins Coie who was working as the go-between on the Trump dossier case and who has apparently been caught lying to the media earlier this year about his involvement.

It seems obvious to me that Perkins Coie should be a target of investigation as a possible intermediary that was engaged by the Clinton campaign and/or the DNC simply to circumvent Federal campaign finance law and/or reporting requirements for foreign lobbying efforts.

When you consider how many attractive female Russian lawyers there might be (two at a stretch), and the various inter-connections, then sure, set up ... things to be used after the inevitable victory of HRC.

But it didn’t turn out that way so plan B was required.

Attorney-client privilege may not apply if the purpose of the representation was to commit a crime.
