Alan Dershowitz: Mueller Likely Hoping Manafort Charges Will Spark Chain Reaction
Fox News ^ | October 30 2017 | Alan Dershowitz

Posted on 10/30/2017 9:06:32 AM PDT by knighthawk

Alan Dershowitz analyzed what he thinks is Special Counsel Robert Mueller's grand strategy in the Russia investigation, calling it the "criminalization of political differences."

"He has to go after somebody," the Harvard law professor emeritus and lifelong Democrat explained. "He can't just spend all the money and do nothing."

"If he can find little things that's going to be a victory for him," the lawyer told "Fox & Friends."

You underestimate how dirty Mueller is. His goal has always been to damage Trump. He will not stop with Manafort, and he will never indict a Podesta.

I’ve been wondering if Manafort can serve them Podesta -— and if they will actually do anything if he does.....

‘Manafort left the protected class when he helped Trump. And that is the most insidious part of all this, that it prevents Trump from hiring anyone for his future elections or to work in his administration, because they will all become targets.’

+1

Thanks Sessions. ..for nothing.

Ahhh, the random dart analogy... I would have gone for the ‘singing dead cat’. LOL! But I agree totally.

‘Dershowitz predicted Mueller will try to make a deal with Manafort, promising him a “get out of jail card” if he can tell them something damaging about the Trump campaign’

Is he describing the USA, or a 3rd World totalitarian regime???

“Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

I think tonight will be interesting on Fox News. Can't watch them all so what do I watch first between Graham, Hannity and Tucker?

Unless Mueller will find a way to not charge Podesta to cover for Hillary

This.

Mueller is attempting to bring down the Trump admin, he is not going to touch Hillary or anyone near her. Just look at who he has hired for a pretty strong hint at what they are doing.

The DOJ needs to appoint a special prosecutor for the emails, Uranium One, etc, and staff it with people that Hillary and company need to be afraid of. If Trump does nothing, eventually Mueller is going to come up with some nonsense charges against people very close to Trump (most likely his son) in order to try to impeach him. Trump needs leverage so Hillary's buddies have something to worry about, along with the fact that these things need investigating anyway.

Mueller definitely does not want to indict Hillary which would trigger civil war because it would leave to Obama as well.

What civil war? Wouldn’t happen.

Muller may use that as a pretext to avoid doing what he does not want to do, but it is just a pretext.

2 can play at that game. If Trump ever finds a Prosecutor on his side, half of the Democratic Party will be in jail.

“Mueller is attempting to bring down the Trump admin,,,,”

Silly me... I thought trying to overthrow the government was illegal?

I agree. Let’s go after the Clintons for Pedo Island, Dersh. Let’s see. Even if we can’t get Bill for having sex with underaged sex slaves, maybe some of his hangers on could get nabbed. Let’s get 16 year old Virginia, the sex slave of Epstein, to give a deposition. Surely she has a lot to tell about whom she was to service on the Lolita Express and elsewhere, at least five times. Huh, Dersh? Let’s catch those little guys.

“I’ll tell you what sums it up for me; IF anyone, anywhere on Planet Earth had any doubts that the Clinton’s don’t own the FBI, (lock, stock, and barrel), then look no further than today’s news”

Who the hell is the new FBI Director? Never heard of him before or after he was appointed. Don’t even remember his name.

On this, we agree. I don’t see how Sessions can be AG while at the same time recusing himself from the biggest issue facing the Trump administration. It makes no sense. It would be like the head of surgery being banned from performing major operations. The surgeon says, ‘But don’t worry; I still have my exalted title, and I can definitely operate on ingrown toenails.’
